Architectural Graduate

I was initially drawn to architecture by how two of my strengths – creativity and mathematics – could be combined into one discipline. Studying at Victoria University of Wellington I found my passion in carefully designing homes to meet the needs of those who live in them. My master’s thesis explored how multi-unit housing can be better designed to suit the needs of families. While studying I worked part-time in an architecture practice, this gave me a perspective on how the theory translated to practice before I moved into full time work after graduation in early 2023. Now working with Solari, I’m particularly excited to be able to work on community and social housing projects, designing to meet the needs of those who are most vulnerable.
