In recent year the Hutt City Baptist church made their home from a former cinema complex in the CBD of Lower Hutt. The tired early-1990’s façade was outdated and had outlived its serviceable life. We had the pleasure of providing the church with a new lease of life and a chance to present their own identity to the city.

A fresh modern approach to the façade replacement and the creation of a new entry has added a new lease of life to the centre of High Street while providing the church with a presence they proudly call their own. The Hutt City Baptist now have an urban identity with a welcoming interaction with the city around them.

Beyond the function of the church, this project has contributed to the rejuvenation of the downtown centre of High Street.  As other improvements have progressed in the vicinity, High Street is beginning to reinstate itself with a sense of pride as a city heart.
