The redevelopment of 65-71 Victoria Street in Alicetown aimed to transform a vacant, earthquake-prone dwelling into a thoughtfully designed, high-quality residential community. Positioned on the transition between Suburban Commercial zoning and General Residential, the site offers strong connections to Alicetown’s local amenities and seamless access to public transport links along Cuba and Victoria Streets. This prime location provided an opportunity to create a new housing model, blending the convenience of urban living with a tranquil residential atmosphere.

Historically, the area lacked modern, multi-unit housing options that could accommodate a diverse range of residents—from professionals to families—while respecting the site’s residential and commercial balance. Solari Architects designed the development with this in mind, crafting a block of ten two-bedroom homes in both apartment and townhouse configurations. Each unit is oriented for optimal sunlight and views, while a communal green space and carefully designed outdoor areas provide a shared sanctuary for residents.
